Officials trying to diversify cruise industry
Plans being considered with Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Princess

Provincial officials are working to diversify the Jeju cruise industry, which has been heavily weighted toward Chinese travelers.

Local representatives recently traveled to the U.S. for the largest cruise industry expo in the world. There, they met with executives from Royal Caribbean Cruises, which operates worldwide. They discussed adding Jeju to their list of ports of call in the region.

They also met with Holland America Line’s executive team to explore a similar agreement.

In addition, the province plans to develop a wide range of packages with Princess Cruises, which has vessels based in Japan, as well as the Taiwan International Ports Corporation.

이와 함께 대만과 일본으로의 시장 개척을 위해 대만항만공사와 일본을 모항으로 하는 프린세스 크루즈와 다양한 상품개발을 추진하기로 했습니다.
