Authorities testing marine products

Officials have issued a food poisoning warning in response to the discovery of illness-causing bacteria in seawater in other regions of the country.

Provincial authorities are testing marine products on the market for the bacteria.

They will dispose of any that test positive beyond the accepted level. Authorities will also ban the selling of the items.

Local officials recommend a two-pronged approach to preventing food poisoning: maintaining adequate personal hygiene and avoiding raw foods.

다른지역 해수에서 비브리오패혈증균이 검출되면서 식중독 예방에 각별한 주의가 요구되고 있습니다.

이에 따라 제주특별자치도는 도내에서 유통되고 있는 수산물을 수거해 검사를 강화하고 있습니다.

특히 허용기준을 초과하는 경우 유통판매 금지 조치와 함께 폐기처분할 예정입니다.

제주도는 식중독을 예방하기 위해 개인위생 준수는 물론 각종 음식물을 익혀 먹을 것을 당부하고 있습니다.
