New limitations on ‘recreation areas’
Must be at least 100,000 square meters, no more than 30% accommodations

Developers must now follow stricter rules when building designated “recreation areas.”

According to an amendment to the city planning ordinance, developers now need at least 100,000 square meters of land to build one. The previous requirement was only 10,000 square meters.

The other new regulation involves accommodations - they may no longer account for more than 30 percent of the total area inside the area.

The developers of the planned Iho and Songaksan recreation areas must now revise their plans again in order to be in compliance.

숙박시설 위주 '유원지' 개발 제한

관광 숙박시설을 우선해 개발하는 유원지 개발이 제한됩니다.

제주도는 도시계획조례를 개정하면서 유원지 최소 조성 면적이 기존 1만 제곱미터에서
10만 제곱미터로 늘어났고,

관광숙박시설 면적도 전체 조성 면적의 최대 30%로 제한한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 사업 변경 계획을 밝힌 이호유원지나 송악산 유원지는 이번에 개정된 조례를 적용받게 됩니다.
