Surveys on government reorganization
1,000 local residents to be polled

Local residents will be given the chance to say how they think the local government should be reorganized.

The provincial administrative reorganization committee held briefings for residents in 14 local communities between March 13th and the 21st. It will now run two surveys, one this week and the other in mid-April.

About 1,000 residents will be polled. Researchers will ask them their opinions on a wide range of topics, including whether they think the current administrative system should stay in place and whether the island should institute direct elections for mayors.

After the surveys, and then public hearings in May, the committee will release its final recommendations by the end of June.

행정체제개편안 도민 설문조사 실시

제주형 행정체제개편안에 대한 도민 설문조사가 실시됩니다.

제주도행정체제개편위원회는 지난 13일부터 21일까지 도내 14개 지역에서 주민 설명회를 마무리하고 이달 말과 4월 중순 두차례에 걸쳐 설문조사를 실시할 예정입니다.

이번 설문조사는 도민 1천명을 대상으로 현행체제 유지와 행정시장 직선제, 기초자치단체 부활에 대한 선호도, 행정권역 분할에 대한 의견, 그리고 행정시장 직선제 도입에 따른 시장 정당 소속 여부 등을 묻게 됩니다

제주도행정체제개편위원회는 설문조사와 5월 공청회를 진행한 뒤 6월까지 최종 권고안을 마련할 계획입니다.
