Yerae Residential Complex site loses designation
No longer Foreign Investment Zone

The national government revoked its designation of the Yerae Residential Complex site as a Foreign Investment Zone.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy convened a committee meeting March 28th. Members passed a proposal to repeal the designation.

In explaining its decision, the ministry cited insufficient investment in the project as well as ongoing legal cases related to it.

The site was declared a Foreign Investment Zone in 2009. Work on the complex ground to a halt in 2015 when the Supreme Court revoked the right to eminent domain in the zone.

예래주거단지 외국인투자지역 지정 해제

정부가 예래휴양형주거단지를 외국인투자지역에서 지정 해제했습니다.

산업통상자원부는 지난 28일 외국인투자위원회를 열고 예래휴양형주거단지 외국인투자지역 지정 해제안을 원안 가결했습니다.

산자부는 예래단지가 행정소송과 손해배상소송 등이 얽혀 있고 투자계획도 충족되지 못했다며 지구 지정을 해제했습니다.

예래단지는 지난 2009년 도내 첫 외국인투자역으로 지정됐지만, 지난 2015년 대법원의 토지수용 재결 무효 판결이 내려지면서 공사가 중단된 상태입니다.
