Local trade delegation locks in \3.3b in deals
Representatives from 7 firms visited Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mongolia

A trade delegation from the island met with some success on a recent tour of other Asian countries.

According to provincial officials, seven local firms sent representatives on the trip. They visited Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mongolia for sales promotions between March 19th and the 25th.

All told, they engaged in some 175 business talks, and that led to 3.3 billion won in contracts for eco-friendly farm products, cosmetics, and other items.

The province wants to build on this success and use similar trade delegations to further diversify the Asian market for local goods, which has been heavily weighted toward China.

아시아무역사절단 성과…판로 확대 기대

제주도 아시아무역사절단이 대만과 홍콩 몽골에서 소기 성과를 거두면서 판로 확대로 이어질 지 주목됩니다.

제주도에 따르면 도내 7개 업체 등이 참여한 아시아무역사절단은 지난 19일부터 25일까지 대만과 홍콩 몽골 3개 지역을 방문해 현지 판촉활동을 진행했습니다.

그 결과 청정 농산물을 활용한 가공식품과 향장 분야 등에서 모두 175건의 상담이 이뤄졌고 33억원의 계약 성과를 거뒀습니다.

제주도는 중국에 편중된 아시아 시장 다변화를 위해 무역사절단을 확대 운영할 계획입니다.
