Downpours drench Jeju
420mm of rain Thursday on Witse Oreum

The island got drenched Thursday and into early Friday.

According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration, the southern part of Jeju bore the brunt of the downpours. 420 millimeters fell on Witse Oreum. Down closer to the cost, Seogwipo got 137 and Gangjeong-dong 171 millimeters.

Although the rain stopped during the day Friday, winds and fog remained an issue.

Marine conditions were also bad, with three-meter seas and heavy fog.

한라산 400mm 폭우…내일 밤까지 비

제주에 많은 비가 내린 가운데 내일 밤까지 최대30mm강우량을 보이겠습니다.

제주지방기상청에 따르면 오늘 강우량은 한라산 윗세오름 420mm가 쏟아졌고 해안지역은 서귀포시 강정동 171mm, 서귀포 137mm로 산남지역을 중심으로 많은 비가 집중됐습니다.

비는 늦은 밤에 소강상태에 들다 내일 밤부터 다시 이어지겠습니다.

내일까지 강우량은 5에서 30mm가 예상됩니다.

이같은 날씨 속에 바람이 강하게 불고 안개가 짙게 낄 것으로 예보돼 안전사고에 주의가 요구됩니다.

해상도 당분간 짙은 안개가 끼겠고 물결은 최대 3미터로 높게 일겠습니다.
