Provincial government to explore EV-related industries
Officials looking for ways to boost job creation and local economy

The provincial government wants to boost job creation and the local economy by identifying new industries related to electric vehicles.

It is commissioning the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade to study the issue through this October.

Local officials want to figure out the best ways of supporting the industries, both financially and administratively, as well as come up with plans to train professionals to work in them.

The province will base mid- and long-term plans for fields related to electric cars on the results of this study.

제주특별자치도가 전기차 산업으로 일자리를 창출하고 지역 경제를 활성화 하기 위해 연관 사업 발굴에 나섭니다.

이를 위해 오는 10월까지 산업통상자원부 산하기관인 '산업연구원'에 의뢰해 제주도 전기차 연관사업 육성정책 마련을 위한 연구 용역을 추진합니다.

주요내용을 보면 연관산업 육성을 위한 행·재정적 지원 과제 발굴과 전기차 전문 인력 양성 프로젝트 마련 등 입니다.

제주도는 용역 결과를 토대로 제주형 전기차 연관산업 중장기 로드맵을 수립할 계획입니다.
