Lighting of Jeju Provincial Sports Festival flame
Thursday morning at Seongsan Sunrise Peak

The flame for the 51st Jeju Provincial Sports Festival will be lit April 13th at Seongsan Sunrise Peak.

After the 8:30 a.m. lighting, five runners from Seongsan-eup will carry the flame to the Sunrise Peak entrance. It will then be transported by car to Jeju City Hall.

From there, the flame will be split into two - torchbearers will take it to the east and to the west. After reuniting the flames at Seogwipo City Hall, runners will take a single torch to Kang Chang-hak Arena, which is the main venue for the sports festival.

제51회 도민체전을 밝힌 성화가 오는 13일 성산일출봉에서 채화됩니다.

오전 8시 30분 주선녀에 의해 채화된 성화는 최초 주자인 성산읍 주민 5명에게 전달돼
성산일출봉 입구까지 주자 이동이 이뤄집니다.

이어 제주시청까지 차량으로 봉송된 후 동쪽과 서쪽으로 나눠어 각각 봉송길에 올라 서귀포시청 제1청사에 안치된 후 도민체전 개회식 당일 주경기장인 강창학경기장에서 최종 점화될 예정입니다.
