Land transactions tumble
Sales down 53% YOY in March

Land sales on the island continue to fall.

The provincial government says some 20,000 plots totaling around 17 million square meters were sold in the first quarter of this year. Compared to the first quarter of 2016, that’s 1.8 percent fewer transactions and 27 percent less land.

The trend was particularly clear in March, when only 7,000 plots covering 7.4 million square meters changed hands. That’s 53 percent fewer plots and 59 percent less land.

Provincial officials say the land market will continue to stabilize because of crackdowns on speculation, stricter loan requirements, and rising interest rates.

토지거래량 감소세…면적 기준 27% 줄어

제주지역 내 토지거래량이 계속해서 줄고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 올 1분기에 거래된 토지는 2만 필지에 1천 741만 제곱미터로 지난해 같은기간에 비해 필지수로는 1.8%, 면적으로는 27% 감소했습니다.

특히 지난 한달간 토지거래량은 7천여필지에 740만 제곱미터로 전년에 비해 필지수로는 53%, 면적은 59% 줄어 뚜렷한 감소세를 보이고 있습니다.

제주도는 부동산 투기단속 강화와 함께 대출규제 강화, 금리인상과 맞물려 앞으로 부동산 시장의 안정화를 기대하고 있습니다.
