Legal battle over ICC-Anchor Hotel passage
Booyoung, ICC both claim ownership of connecting tunnel

The Jeju International Convention Center and the Booyoung Housing Corporation are going to court over the ownership of the underground tunnel that connects the ICC to the Anchor Hotel.

According to the ICC, Booyoung filed a suit against the center last October claiming it owned the passage. Oral arguments in the case are set to begin Friday.

ICC representatives maintain that the center clearly owns the passage, because it was the entity that received a construction permit as the owner for the tunnel and because Booyoung submitted to it a construction guarantee.

In arguing for their ownership claim, Booyoung representatives say that they financed the entire construction of the passage and that the real estate trade contract does not list the ICC as the owner.

제주국제컨벤션센터를 상대로 '소유권 보전등기 말소와 소유권 확인' 소송을 제기했고
오는 14일 2차 변론을 앞두고 있습니다.

이에 대해 제주국제컨벤션센터측은 연결통로를 조성하면서 ICC가 건축주로서 증축허가를 받은데다 당시 부영주택이 공사이행 보증증권을 ICC에 제출한 점을 감안한다면 소유권은 명확한 상황이라고 강조하고 있습니다.

반면 부영주택은 공사비를 전액 부담했고 앵커호텔 부지 부동산 매매계약서상
소유권자가가 ICC로 명기되지 않았다며 소유권을 주장하고 있습니다
