Police arrest man for libeling presidential contender
Suspect allegedly posted false info about Moon Jae-in online, at bus stops

Provincial police have arrested a 68-year-old man for illegal election activities.

Investigators say the man libeled presidential contender Moon Jae-in by posting 13 pieces of paper with false information about Moon at 11 bus stops, including those at the provincial office, Jeju City Hall, and Seogwipo City Hall.

The suspect also put the same information up on his blog. Officers say that means he violated information network usage laws.

Police are now trying to get to the bottom of why he did what he did.

특히 김 씨는 자신의 인터넷 블로그를 통해서도 같은 내용의 글을 게재하는 등 정보통신망 이용 법률을 위반한 혐의로 받고 있습니다.

경찰은 김 씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청하는 한편 범행 동기를 조사하고 있습니다
