Jeju Udo Seashell Festival April 21-23

The 9th Jeju Udo Seashell Festival will run from April 21st to the 23rd at Chunjin Port on the small island.

The event this year is based around the murex, sometimes called the rock snail, which is a local specialty. Visitors will be able to try out some unique experiences, ranging from grabbing conches with their feet to attempting some “haenyeo” skills.

Organizers also have a variety of performers lined up, including guitarist and singer Jeong Eun-seon, a traditional percussion group, and belly dancers.

The Udo Youth Association has hosted the festival since 2009. Officials this year designated it as a quote “promising festival” unquote.

21~23일, 우도 소라축제

제9회 우도소라축제가 오는 21일부터 23일까지 사흘동안
우도 천진항 일대에서 열립니다.

이번 축제는 해녀 체험과 소라 발로 잡기 등
지역특산물인 뿔소라를 테마로 다양한 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

이와함께
통기타 가수 정은선과 풍물패 공연,
밸리댄스 등 다양한 볼거리가 마련됩니다.

2009년부터 우도면연합청년회 주관으로 열리고 있는
우도소라 축제는
올해 제주도 유망축제로 지정됐습니다.
