Less Chinese-owned land in Seogwipo
Total dropping steadily since 2015

Compared to years past, less Seogwipo land is owned by Chinese nationals.

City officials say that in March, Chinese owned over 19-hundred plots that covered some 4.6 million square meters.

The figure was 4.8 million in 2015 and 4.7 million square meters last year.

Officials says the restriction on land deals in Seongsan-eup because it is the site for the island’s second airport and stricter farmland oversight are the reasons for the downward trend.

In all, non-Koreans own 11.7 million square meters of land in Seogwipo - 1.3 percent of the total.

중국인 소유 서귀포 토지면적 감소세

중국인이 소유한 서귀포지역 토지 면적이 감소세를 보이고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면, 지난 달 기준 서귀포지역 중국인 소유 토지면적은
463만 제곱미터에 1천900여 필지로 나타났습니다.

이는 지난 2015년 486만 제곱미터, 지난해 474만 제곱미터보다 줄어든 것입니다

서귀포시는 제2공항 추진으로 성산읍이 토지거래허가제한 구역으로 지정돼 매매가 제한되고농지 관리 강화 방침 등에 따른 영향으로 분석하고 있습니다.

한편 서귀포지역 토지 가운데 외국인이 소유한 면적은 1천172만 제곱미터로
전체 면적의 1.3%입니다.
