New rules for large developments
Committee will verify capital for projects

The provincial government has given notice of an ordinance amendment that tightens the approval process for large-scale developments.

A special committee will be in charge of verifying the capital to be used in the projects. The scope of deliberations has also been expanded from the designation of the main developer to approval for the project.

All proposed developments over 500,000 square meters are subject to the new rules. That includes the Ora Tourism Complex, a project by China’s Macrolink Group, and the Aewol International Cultural Complex.

대규모 개발 자본검증 강화 조례 입법예고

제주특별자치도가 대규모 개발사업 투자자본을 검증하는 내용의 제주도 개발사업시행승인에 관한 조례 개정안을 입법예고했습니다.

개정안에는 개발사업심의위원회가 자본검증을 맡게 되며 심의 대상도 개발사업 시행 예정자 지정에서 개발사업 시행 승인까지 확대됐습니다.

심사 대상은 50만 제곱미터 이상 사업장에 적용되며 오라관광단지와 신화련금수산장, 애월 국제문화복합단지 등이 대상에 포함됩니다
