Broccoli Festival begins August 4
Variety of activities, attractions at Gwakji Beach

The tenth Broccoli Festival will be August 4th and 5th at Gwakji Beach.

The Aewol community council is organizing the event. Festivalgoers will be able to try clam digging, singing competitions, “wondam” fishing, which involves using traditional stone weirs, and other activities. There will be separate areas for adults and children to enjoy “wondam” fishing.

In addition, booths will be set up where people can try local food and drinks. Festival organizers will also give them small broccoli plants that they can grow and eat themselves.

제10회 브로콜리 축제가 다음달 4일과 5일 이틀동안 곽지해수욕장에서 열립니다.

애월읍 주민자치위원회가 주관하는 이번 축제는 원담 고기잡이 체험과 조개잡이 체험, 브로콜리 가요제 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

이와함께 애월로컬푸드 시식과 브로콜리 모종 나눔, 음료시음 등 전시.체험마당도 다양하게 운영됩니다.

또 원담 고기잡이 체험은 성인과 어린이 체험장을 별도로 운영할 계획입니다.
