Direct Jeju-Tokyo flight service begins September 2
T’way Air already offers Jeju-Osaka flights

T’way Air is boosting marketing efforts ahead of a September 2nd launch of direct flight service between Jeju and Tokyo.

This follows direct flights between Jeju and Osaka that the airline began earlier this summer.

As part of the marketing blitz, representatives from the Jeju Tourism Association and local travel agencies that specialize in Japanese tourists visited some travel agencies in Tokyo.

Jeju will host the first PGA golf tournament to be played in Korea, and the local representatives are using that to encourage more golfers to come to the island.

The tourism association expects more Japanese tourists to come to Jeju now that trip is easier.

日 직항편 잇따라 개설…마케팅 '본격'

티웨이항공이 제주와 오사카 노선에 이어 9월 2일 도쿄 직항노선을 취항할 예정인 가운데 관광객 유치 마케팅도 본격화 됐습니다.

제주도관광협회는 최근 도내 일본 인바운드 전문 여행업체와 함께 일본 동경 지역 여행업계를 방문해 세일즈 마케팅을 실시했다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 앞으로 국내에서는 처음 제주에서 열리는 'PGA 골프대회'와 연계해 골프관광객 유치에 적극 나설 계획입니다.

제주도관광협회는 제주와 일본간 접근성이 개선되면서 일본인 관광객 유치에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
