Seogwipo land market continues to weaken
Fewer transactions in first 7 months of year

The Seogwipo land market continues to weaken.

The city says some 18,000 plots covering 17 million square meters had changed hands this year through the end of last month. That’s 3 percent fewer transactions and 25 percent less land compared to the same period of last year.

Koreans from elsewhere in the country actually made 7 percent more purchases over the period, but they bought 32 percent less land.

The land market in Seogwipo has remained weak for going one year - it began to sputter last October.

서귀포시 토지거래 감소세 지속

서귀포시에서 거래된 토지 면적과 필지가 지난해 말부터 감소하고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면, 지난달까지 거래된 토지는 1만 8천여 필지에 1천 700여 만 제곱미터로 지난해 같은 기간보다 필지는 3%, 면적은 25% 줄었습니다.

특히 서울 등 다른지역 거주자가 매입한 필지는 7% 늘었지만 면적은 32% 감소했습니다.

서귀포시 토지거래는 지난해 10월 감소세로 돌아선 뒤 지금까지 1년 가까이 유지되고 있습니다.
