SK, China to hold annual forum on public diplomacy
Government officials, academics to gather in Jeju August 16, 17

Seoul’s deployment of the THAAD anti-missile system has created problems in the Korea-China relationship, but officials may try to reduce tensions in an upcoming event here on the island.

The foreign ministry says South Korea and China will hold their fifth annual joint forum on public policy here in Jeju on August 16th and 17th. Government officials and academics will participate.

The event will have an open round table format. Participants will focus on expanding ties between the two countries.

양국 정부 관계자와 학계 등이 참여한 가운데 제5차 한중 공공외교포럼을 개최합니다.

이번 외교포럼은 한국과 중국 국민 간 유대를 확대하는 분야에 중점을 두고 공개적인 라운드 테이블 형식으로 진행될 예정입니다.
