Event this weekend based on unripe mandarin oranges

When you think of Jeju’s mandarin oranges, you more than likely think of bright orange. Some people really enjoy them before they’re ripe, though, and there are a number of activities based on unripe mandarins this Saturday at Soesokkak Black Sand Beach in Seogwipo.

The Jeju Tourism Organization organized the event. It includes jam and other food based on unripe mandarins, as well as Hallabong candles, and traditional tewoo boats.

There will be water guns on the beach for visitors to play and cool off with.

The JTO will be giving out a number of gifts, as well, including 50-percent discount coupons for mandarin-themed accommodations and free food tickets for restaurants that use local citrus in some of their dishes.

'풋귤' 활용 감귤 이벤트...12일, 서귀포시 쇠소깍 해변

풋귤을 이용한 감귤푸드와 각종 체험 프로그램을 즐길 수 있는 감귤 문화 융복합 이벤트가 오는 12일 서귀포시 쇠소깍 검은모래해변 일대에서 열립니다.

제주관광공사가 마련한 이번 행사에는 풋귤을 활용한 감귤푸드와 풋귤청 만들기, 한라봉 캔들, 전통 테우배 만들기 등이 마련됩니다.

이와함께 해변에서 신나게 물총을 쏘며 더위를 날릴 수 있는 '대나무 물총놀이' 등 다채로운 체험 프로그램이 진행됩니다.

제주관광공사는 축제 참가자들에게 감귤테마하우스 숙박 50% 할인권과 감귤 푸드 음식점 무료 시식권 등 다양한 기념품을 제공할 예정입니다.
