Seoul seeks to postpone case against Gangjeong village council

The national government has asked for a postponement of its court case against the Gangjeong village council.

Seoul is seeking compensation for delays to the construction of the navy base in the village. Those delays were caused by local opposition to the installation.

The trial was set to begin at Seoul District Court on August 11th. The national government requested the delay on Monday, and the village council agreed.
