‘No pesticides’ in egg products from Jeju
Inspectors complete testing at 27 farms

After national authorities determined some egg products in the country were contaminated with a potentially harmful pesticide, local authorities tested all egg products from Jeju and found them safe.

Jeju City said on Wednesday that it found no pesticide contaminants during inspections of 27 egg farms.

Inspectors say they found no evidence of even any pesticide residue.

The city will certify those farms as clean in order to allow for the distribution of their eggs. It will also inspect eggs that have already made it to the market.

살충제 달걀 파문에 따른 제주산 달걀에 대한 전수조사 결과 모두 적합한 것으로 확인됐습니다.

제주시는 어제(15일) 27개 산란계 농가를 대상으로 현장방문 조사 결과 살충제 사용이 확인되지 않았다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 산란계농가에 대한 잔류물질 전수검사에서도 모두 적합한 것으로 판명됐습니다.

제주시는 이에따라 검사기관의 검사증명서를 발급해 달걀 유통을 허용하는 한편 시중에 유통된 달걀도 수거검사를 실시할 계획입니다.
