Better store signs along Jungjeong-ro in Seogwipo
National government spending \400m on improvements, replacements

The national government is funding the replacement of store signs along a section of Jungjeong-ro in Seogwipo.

The city says the Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected the area around Jungjeong-ro 91, at the entrance to Maeil Olle Market, for a pilot project on sign improvements.

The government will spend 400 million won to improve or replace 193 signs in the area. The aim is to ensure the signs blend in with the character of the area, the building, and the business, itself.

The city of Seogwipo has used national funding to improve signs along (아랑조을) Arang Joeul Street three times since 2012.

서귀포 중정로 '간판 개선' 사업 추진

서귀포시 중정로 일대에 국비 지원을 받아 상점가 간판 개선사업이 추진됩니다.

서귀포시는 매일올레시장 진입 도로인 중정로 91번길 일대가 행정안전부로부터
간판개선 시범사업 대상에 선정됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 사업비 4억여 원을 들여 이 일대 293개 간판을 지역 특색과 건물, 업소에 맞게 개선합니다.

서귀포시는 행정안전부 지원 사업으로 지난 2012년부터 3차례에 걸쳐
아랑조을거리 간판을 개선해 왔습니다.
