Jeju City public bus system changes go into effect Saturday

Jeju City is putting the final touches on its revamped public bus system before it’s implemented in full this coming Saturday.

The city is adding 23 vehicles to the fleet and remodeling the buses, themselves, and other facilities.

In the final few days before the changes, the city is working hard to alert area residents, especially those in rural areas, of what to expect.

There will be 26 bus routes to rural communities in Jeju City beginning Saturday. They will be heading out from the city to the northeast and the northwest.

제주시 공영버스가 오는 26일 대중교통체계 개편을 앞두고 막바지 운행준비 점검에 들어갔습니다.

제주시는 그동안 공영버스 23대를 증차하고 내외부 시설을 개선하는 등 운행준비 마무리에 총력을 기울이고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

또 남은 기간 읍면지역 주민을 대상으로 대중교통체계 전면 개편에 따른 홍보를 강화해 나갈 계획입니다.

제주시 공영버스는 오는 26일부터 제주시 북동, 북서 읍면지선 26개 노선을 운행하게 됩니다.
