College Scholastic Ability Test changes delayed
Now scheduled for 2022, not 2021

The Ministry of Education has delayed changes to the College Scholastic Ability Test from 2021 to 2022.

Ministry officials say there is not enough consensus on the planned changes.

That means that students now in the third grade of middle school will be tested in the existing way.

The ministry says it will simplify the way universities select students using school records and the CSAT.

교육부가 대학수학능력시험 개편을 오는 2021년에서 2022년으로 1년 유예하기로 했습니다.

수능에 절대평가 도입을 추진해온 교육부는 합의가 충분하지 않다는 판단에 따라
오는 2021년부터 적용하려던 수능 개편을 1년 미루기로 했습니다.

이에 따라 현재 중학교 3학년 학생들은 현재 수능 방식에 따라 대학입시를 치르게 됩니다.

교육부는 다만 대입전형을 학생부와 수능 위주로 단순화해 나가겠다고 밝혔습니다
