The provincial government is responding to complaints about the island’s revamped public transport system.

In order to meet the needs of students traveling to and from school, the province created eight more high-demand routes, and it added buses to others.

In addition, new transfer guide maps designed to be elderly-friendly will be distributed and transfer announcements will be made on the buses.

대중교통체계 개편 이후 많은 민원이 제기되고 있는 가운데 제주도가 이에 따른 불편사항들을 개선해 나가기로 했습니다.

제주도는 우선 학생들의 통학 시간 불편사항을 해소하기 위해 수요가 많은 8개 노선을 신설하고 일부 노선에 버스를 증차했다고 밝혔습니다.

또, 환승 안내도를 새로 배포하고 버스에서 안내방송을 하는 등 어르신들의 환승불편을 해소하기로 했습니다.

제주도는 이와 함께 앞으로 개선이 필요한 사항은 즉각 반영하고 전기저상버스 도입과 장애인용 택시 지원 등 중장기 계획도 함께 추진하겠다고 덧붙였습니다.
