Souvenir sellers sought for Jeju Batdam Festival
Jeju Research Institute accepting applications through September 16

The Jeju Research Institute is looking for artists and handicraft workshops to sell souvenirs at the Jeju Batdam Festival.

The festival is scheduled for October 14th and 15th and the institute is accepting applications through September 16th.

Applicants that are selected will be allowed to sell their items at an art market that will accompany the festival. Souvenirs should be related to basalt, regardless of what they’re actually made of. The black volcanic rock is what the island’s stone walls, called “batdam,” are made of.

Officials will select 25 individuals or groups. Each will be given one million won to develop their products.

제주밭담축제 기념품 판매 작가 공모

다음달 14일과 15일 열리는 제주밭담축제에서 기념품 판매에 참가할 작가와 공방을 모집합니다.

제주연구원 제주밭담 6차산업화 기반구축사업단은 오는 16일까지 밭담축제 아트마켓에 관광기념품을 출품할 수 있는 작가 또는 공방을 모집한다고 밝혔습니다.

기념품은 소재에 제한 없이 제주밭담을 구성하는 현무암을 주제로 다루면 됩니다.

제주연구원은 25개 팀을 선발해 밭담 기념품 디자인 개발비용으로 100만 원을 지원할 방침입니다.
