Improvements to chronically-congested Namjoro-Gyorae intersection

Officials have announced upcoming improvements to the chronically congested (남조로) Namjoro-(교래) Gyorae intersection.

The province will spend 4 billion through the end of next year to widen the roads and add left- and right-turn lanes.

It will also install an Adaptive Traffic Light System that responds to changes in traffic volume. Finally, workers will widen the stretch of road from (붉은오름) Bulgeun Oreum to the (갓) Gat Exhibition Hall.

'상습정체' 남조로 교래 사거리 개선

상습정체 구간인 남조로 교래 사거리 구간이 개선됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 내년말까지 사업비 40억원을 투입해 남조로 교래 사거리 교차로를 확장하고 우회전과 좌회전 차로를 신설합니다.

또 교통량에 따라 신호주기가 가변적으로 변하는 '감응식 신호체계'를 도입하고
붉은오름에서 갓 전시장까지의 구간을 확장합니다.
