Province makes \700b in loans available to SMEs
Funds to stabilize operations at struggling companies

The provincial government has set aside 700 billion won to help stabilize operations at struggling small and mid-sized enterprises.

In the first eight months of the year, it lent out some 8,000 loans worth a total of 470 billion won. It plans to lend out another 230 billion won through the end of the year.

The province is providing the aid to about 40 companies, which have been categorized by business type. In addition to the loans themselves, they are offered priority in getting them and a lowered interest rate as well as an exemption from the early payoff fee.

This provincial aid is in addition to the Jeju Credit Guarantee Foundation, which has made 20 billion won in loans available for the self-employed in the lead-up to Chuseok .

제주도가 자금난을 겪는 중소기업에 7천억 규모의 경영안전자금을 지원하고 있습니다.

지난달까지 8천여건에 4천 700억원을 지원했으며 연말까지 2천 300억원을 추가할 예정입니다.

특히 올해 40여개 중소기업 업종별로 대출 우대 지원과 대출금리 인하,
중도상환 수수료 폐지 같은 다양한 인센티브를 제공하고 있습니다.

제주신용보증재단도 추석을 앞두고 도내 자영업자를 대상으로 2백억 원 규모의 긴급운영자금을 지원할 예정입니다.
