Trade office opens in Tokyo
Will help local exporters enter Japanese market

Officials opened a trade office in Tokyo Friday in order to ease the way into the Japanese market for Jeju products.

The office will offer information and opportunities to local firms that want to sell in Japan.

It also aims to work as a bridge to the Japanese market by expanding the market network for exporters and helping to build personal networks between buyers and sellers.

Organizers ran a promotional event for Jeju products at a large retailer in Tokyo’s Korea Town immediately following the office’s opening ceremony.

청정 제주 제품의 일본 시장 개척을 위한 통상사무소가 오늘(22일) 동경 신주쿠에서 문을 열었습니다.

동경 통상사무소는 해외시장 진출하려는 도내 기업에 다양한 정보와 새로운 기회를 제공할 방침입이다.

또 현지 수출 판로망 확보와 인적 네트워크 구축 등 일본 시장 진출의 교두보로 활용한다는 방침입니다.

한편 오늘 개소식 이후에는 한인타운 내 대형마트에서 제주상품 판촉행사가 진행됐습니다.
