Saint Johnsbury Academy Jeju to open October 23
4th international school in Global Education City

The fourth international school in the Global Education City will open October 23rd.

The provincial education office says it has approved the opening of St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju, which will follow an American curriculum.

It will teach students from kindergarten through high school. Eventually, the student body will number 12-hundred in 68 classes. It will open this year with 498 pupils in 27 classes.

Unlike the other three international schools on the island, SJA will employ a public-private school administration committee.

제주영어교육도시 내 네번째 국제학교인 '세인트 존스베리 아카데미 제주가 다음달 23일 정식 개교합니다.

제주도교육청은 미국 교육과정을 운영하는 세인트존스베리 아카데미 제주 설립을 최종 승인했다고 밝혔습니다.

유치원부터 고등학교 과정을 운영하는 세인트존스베리아카데미 제주의 정원은
68학급에 1천 200여명이며 개교 첫해인 올해 27학급 498명으로 시작합니다.

특히 이전 운영중인 3군데의 국제학교와 달리 일반 공·사립학교에서 운영 중인
학교운영위원회 제도를 도입했다고 밝혔습니다.
