New location signs on Hallasan Mountain
All trails to be marked according to national grid reference system

Authorities are replacing the location signs on Hallasan Mountain to help rescuers more effectively respond to emergencies.

The Hallasan National Park Office will install signs with national grid reference points every 250 meters along all trails on the mountain. These types of signs had already been set up along the (어리목) Eorimok Trail and the (어승생악) Eoseongsaengak Trail.

The national grid reference system was devised to standardize location indication systems, which varied throughout the country.

한라산 탐방로 전 구간 국가지점번호 설치

각종 응급상황을 대비해 한라산국립공원에 설치된 위치표지판이 모두 국가지점번호로 교체됩니다.

한라산국립공원 관리소는 어리목과 어승생악 탐방로에만 설치된 국가지점번호를
성판악과 관음사, 영실, 돈내코 등 나머지 모든 탐방로에도 250m 간격으로 설치한다고 밝혔습니다.

국가지점번호는 각 기관별로 다른 위치표시 체계를 통일하기 위해 도입됐습니다.
