Substantial growth in local real estate industry
Sales up nearly 22% in 2016

The Jeju real estate industry has grown considerably in recent years.

According to data released by the province, there were about 26-hundred agencies on the island last year - 4.8 percent more than the year before. The number of employees at them grew 3.8 percent over the same period to 93-hundred.

But the greatest growth was in sales - those skyrocketed 21.6 percent between 2015 and 2016.

제주에서 부동산업과 임대업이 크게 늘고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도가 지난해 기준으로 사업체조사를 잠정 집계한 결과 사업체수는 2천 600여개, 종사자수는 9천 300여명으로 1년전에 비해 사업체는 4.8%, 종사자는 3.8% 증가했습니다.

이 가운데 부동산업과 임대업의 경우 전년에 비해 21.6% 늘어 가장 큰 증가폭을 보였습니다.
