Jeju Batdam Festival begins October 14

The third Jeju Batdam Festival begins October 14th at the Jeju Batdam Theme Park in Woljeong-ri, Gujwa-eup.

The two-day event in honor of Jeju’s traditional stone walls begins with an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. There will then be hikes along the walls, talks about them, a batdam building contest, a quiz, and other events.

Visitors will also be able to take part in a batdam food contest, bake sweet potatoes, and make basalt-shaped soaps.

Finally, organizers have prepared an art market at the site with diverse set of souvenirs on sale. All of the items will be made by local artists and all are inspired by Jeju batdam.

제3회 제주밭담축제, 내달 14일 개막

제3회 제주밭담축제가 다음달 14일부터 이틀간 제주시 구좌읍 월정리 제주밭담테마공원에서 열립니다.

천년의 밭담 가치, 미래로 이어가다를 주제로 열리는 이번 축제는 14일 오후 2시 개막식을 시작으로 밭담 트레킹과 토크콘서트, 밭담쌓기대회, 굽돌굴리기, 밭담골든벨 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

또 밭담푸드 콘테스트와 고구마 구워먹기, 현무암 비누만들기, 돗통시 체험 등
다양한 체험프로그램이 준비되고 있습니다.

이와 함께 제주에서 활동중인 작가들을 엄선해 제주밭담을 활용한 다양한 기념품을 선보이는 아트마켓장이 선보입니다.
