88,000 coming to Jeju by ferry
Province running special office to make sure all runs smoothly, safely

Island authorities expect some 88,000 visitors will come to the island by ferry over the holidays.

Nine ferries and cargo vessels are on six routes connecting the island with Mokpo, Busan, (완도) Wando, Yeosu, and other areas. They will make some 90 sailings over the ten-day period.

The provincial government is running a special office for the duration of the holidays to check the safety of marine facilities as well as handle customer service for the ferry passengers.

이번 추석 연휴 동안 뱃길을 통해 8만 8천여 명이 제주를 찾습니다.

제주도는 10일동안 이어지는 연휴 기간 귀성 귀경객들을 위해 목포와 부산, 완도, 여수 등 6개 항로에 여객선과 화물선 9척을 투입해 90여 차례 운항한다고 밝혔습니다.

제주도는 항만운영 특별 상황실을 운영해 항만시설 안전점검을 비롯해 연휴기간 각종 민원 등을 처리합니다.
