571돌 한글날 경축식이
오는 9일 오전 10시부터
설문대여성문화센터에서 열립니다.

이번 경축식에는
약 4백명이 참석한 가운데
훈민정음 서문 봉독과,
한글 발전과 제주어 보전에 기여한
유공자들에 대한 표창 등이
진행됩니다.

제주도는
한글날 경축식 부대 행사로
한글 서예대전과
전도 외국인 한국어 말하기 대회을
마련합니다.

571st Hangeul Proclamation Day
Ceremony on Oct. 9th at Seolmundae Women's Center

A commemorative ceremony for the 571st anniversary of the Hangeul alphabet, the Korean writing system, will be held on October 9th from 10 am at the Seolmundae Women's Center.

About 400 participants are expected to join in on the event. The ceremony will include reading the Hunminjeongeum preface and awarding individuals who have made efforts to promote the development of Hangeul and preserve the Jeju language.

Alongside the ceremony will be a Hangeul calligraphy contest and Korean Speaking contest for foreigners on Jeju island.
