Jeju has the most automated external defibrillators per capita in the nation.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, there is one AED for every 751 Jeju residents. That’s the highest figure for all of the country’s 17 provinces and major cities.

The AED is an electronic device that can diagnose and treat life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias.
