‘Adoption of semi-public bus system violates ordinance’
Council committee says province should have cleared plans with lawmakers

During a Tuesday administrative audit of the provincial government, provincial council members claimed the province’s adoption of a semi-public bus system is in violation of a local ordinance.

The Environment and City Committee indicated that the provincial government had not received permission from the council to do so.

By regulation, projects that cost a considerable sum of money must be cleared with the council.

Analysts say the semi-public bus system will cost the province 80 billion won annually to run.
