Certificates for restaurants that sell only Jeju pork
Province accepting applications through November 30

The provincial government will certify restaurants that sell only Jeju pork.

The province recently lifted a ban on pork shipments to the island from other parts of the country. This certification comes in conjunction with the lifting of that ban, and it’s aimed at helping consumers identify restaurants that use only local meat. The province will also help in marketing efforts for the certified businesses.

It is accepting applications for the certificates through November 30th.

Local officials will also inspect the businesses to ensure they sell only Jeju pork.

제주산 돼지고기만을 취급하는 '제주 돼지고기 판매 인증점' 지정이 추진됩니다.

제주도는 다른 지역산 돼지고기 반입이 허용됨에 따라 다음달 30일까지 도내 일반음식점을 대상으로 신청을 받아 제주 돼지고기 판매 인증점을 지정하기로 했다고 밝혔습니다.

인증점으로 지정되면 다른 지역산 돼지고기를 사용하는 업소와는 차별이 될 수 있도록 마케팅을 강화하기로 했습니다.

이와함께 소비자가 믿고 찾을 수 있도록 정기적으로 제주산 돼지고기 사용여부를 점검하고 적정 가격 판매를 유도하기로 했습니다.
