Province creates Animal Health Division
In charge of preventing animal disease outbreaks

The provincial government is establishing a new Animal Health Division.

Local officials have given notice that the division will have two tasks - preventing outbreaks of animal diseases and ensuring animal health. They will hire an initial twelve people for veterinary positions to perform the work.

Kim Ik-cheon, a deputy director at the provincial government, has been appointed as acting director.

The provincial government plans to hire another 16 people for veterinary positions by the end of the year.

가축 방역 컨트롤 역할을 할 제주도 동물방역과과 신설됩니다.

제주도는 가축방역과 위생업무를 맡을동물방역과 신설하고 수의직 12명을 충원하는 내용의 하반기 수시인사를 예고했습니다.

동물방역과장 직무대리에는김익천 제주도청 지방수의사무관이 임용됐습니다.

제주도는 인력 보강을 위해 수의직 공무원 16명을 연내에 추가 채용할 예정입니다.
