Global Multicultural Festival this Saturday
‘Embrace Differences, Welcome the World’

The 11th Jeju Global Multicultural Festival is this Saturday at the Jeju Students Cultural Center, Jeju Library, and Jeju Dong Girls Middle School.

The Jeju International Education and Information Institute is organizing the festival under the theme of “Embrace Differences, Welcome the World.” Students, teachers, representatives from various local organizations, and area residents will be taking part in the festivities.

A number of programs are scheduled after the opening ceremony. They include activities through which visitors can experience foreign cultures as well as a talent show and a foreign language competition.

That competition will be part of the 24th foreign language skills competition for elementary, middle, and high school students, and it will include a contest for students with a non-Korean parent.

제11회 제주 글로벌 다문화 축제가 오는 28일 제주학생문화원과 제주도서관, 제주동여자중학교 체육관에서 열립니다.

제주국제교육정보원이 마련한 이번 축제는 '다름을 넘어, 세계를 품다'를 주제로 학생과 교직원, 다문화 기관, 도민 등이 참여합니다.

축제는 개막식을 시작으로 세계문화체험마당과 재능발표마당, 외국어경연마당으로 나누어 진행됩니다.

특히 외국어경연마당은 제24회 전도 초중고 외국어 경연대회를 겸해 열리며 다문화 가정 학생들을 위한 '부모와 함께하는 이중언어 말하기 대회'도 함께 진행됩니다.
