Sales increase at large retailers
September sales index up 6.4% compared to last year

Sales at large retailers are on the increase.

According to data released by the Honam branch of Statistics Korea, the sales index at large retailers in Jeju in September was 254.2. That’s 6.4 percent higher than at the same point last year.

By category, the index for cosmetic products rose 12.7 percent. It climbed 12 percent for electrical appliances.

Meanwhile, the index of mining and manufacturing industrial products came in at 164.3. Higher production and lower inventories caused that figure to climb 5.4 percent compared to last year.

대형소매점 판매 증가

도내 대형소매점 판매가 증가하고 있습니다.

호남지방통계청이 발표한 '산업활동 동향'에 따르면 지난달(9월) 제주지역 대형소매점 판매액 지수는 254.2로 지난해 같은 기간보다 6.4% 증가했습니다.

품목별로 보면, 화장품 판매액지수가 12.7%, 가전제품 12% 늘었습니다.

한편, 광공업생산 지수는 164.3으로 생산은 늘고 재고는 줄면서 지난해에 비해
5.4% 증가했습니다.
