Jeju horses being moved for winter
Animals being transferred from pasture on 5.16 Road to Jeju Livestock Institute

Jeju horses, which are designated natural monuments, are being moved from their pasture up on the mountain down to the Jeju Livestock Institute for the winter.

The institute says all 80 animals will be brought down from the pasture on the 5.16 Road to its facility by Friday.

They will stay there until April.

천연기념물 제주마 겨울철 방목지 이동

마방목지에 있는 천연기념물 제주마가 겨울철을 앞두고 축산진흥원으로 옮겨집니다.

제주특별자치도 축산진흥원은 내일(11월1일) 부터 사흘 동안 5.16도로변 방목지에 있는 제주마 80여 마리를 축산진흥원에 있는 제주마 보호구역으로 이동합니다.

월동 기간은 내일부터 내년 4월까지입니다.
