Consumer prices rise
Up 2.3% last month compared to October 2016

Consumer prices continue to rise in Jeju.

The Jeju branch of the Honam Regional Statistics Korea says the Jeju consumer price index was 104.52 last month. That’s 2.3 percent higher than in October 2016.

That’s slightly lower than the 2.5 percent growth the month before, but it’s still much higher than the national average of 1.8 percent growth.

Prices for agricultural, marine, and livestock products like mandarins and pork rose 2.5 percent, while prices for industrial products and in the service sector were up 2 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively.

지난해 같은 기간보다 2.3% 상승했습니다.

이는 지난달 상승률 2.5%에 비해 다소 둔화된 것이지만 전국 평균인 1.8%를 크게 웃도는 것으로 나타났습니다.

품목별로는 감귤과 돼지고기 등 농축수산물이 2.5%로 크게 올랐고 공업제품과 개인서비스가 각각 2%, 3.5% 오르며 상승세를 이끌었습니다.
