Tests for pesticide residue in eggs come back negative
Inspectors tested for 33 chemicals

Authorities say local shoppers have no need to worry about the eggs they buy as tests for pesticide residue have all come back negative.

The Jeju Veterinary Service Laboratory examined eggs from dealers and large retailers for any evidence of 33 pesticides, including fipronil.

No residue was found.

The laboratory plans to repeat the tests on a frequent basis.

제주특별자치도 동물위생시험소는 도내 계란판매업소와 마트 등에서 달걀을 수거해
33종의 살충제 검출 조사를 실시했습니다.

조사 결과 모든 검사 시료에서 피프로닐 등 유해성분이 검출되지 않았습니다.

동물위생시험소는 앞으로 유통 달걀에 대한 살충제 검사를 수시로 실시할 계획입니다.
