Familiarization tours for Hong Kong travelers

The Jeju Tourism Organization has teamed up with budget carrier Hong Kong Express to encourage more Hong Kong residents to visit Jeju on their own, rather than as part of a group tour.

They have invited power bloggers and travel writers from the city to the island on familiarization tours through Monday.

They are focusing their efforts on young travelers and women. The fam tours include trips on sightseeing buses and some of the autumn highlights of the island.

41,000 Hong Kong travelers have visited Jeju this year. That’s 40 percent more than at the same point last year.

홍콩 개별 관광객 유치 홍보 팸투어 실시

제주관광공사가 홍콩의 대표 저비용 항공사인 홍콩익스프레스와 공동으로 개별 관광객 유치를 위한 홍보에 나섭니다.

이를 위해 지난달 29일부터 오는 6일까지 홍콩 파워블로거와 여행작가를 초청해 팸투어를 추진중이라고 밝혔습니다.

특히 홍콩의 젊은층과 여성을 주요 타킷으로 관광지 순환버스를 이용한 개별 여행과
제주의 가을 관광 콘텐츠를 집중 홍보할 계획입니다.

올들어 지금까지 제주를 찾은 홍콩 관광객은 4만1천여 명으로 지난해 같은 기간 보다 40% 증가하는 등 꾸준히 늘고 있습니다.
