Jeju Air cuts ticket prices to previous levels
Airline lost court case against provincial government

After losing a lawsuit with the provincial government, Jeju Air has reduced ticket prices.

On Friday, the budget carrier announced on its website that it was cutting fares to where they were before it had hiked them earlier this year. That increase was what led to the lawsuit.

Weekend ticket prices between Jeju and Gimpo have dropped from 80,000 won to 76,000, while fares between the island and Busan are down to 68,000 won.

The provincial government won on appeal in its case against Jeju Air’s price increases. It deposited a 100-million-won guarantee insurance policy at the court Thursday.

제주항공, 요금인상 이전 수준으로 인하

제주항공이 제주도와의 국내선 운임 인상 소송에서 패소한 이후 항공요금을 인하했습니다.

제주항공은 오늘(3일) 홈페이지를 통해 국내선 항공요금을 인상하기 전 수준으로 인하하는 내용의 운임 변경안내를 고시했습니다.

이에따라 주말 제주-김포 노선은 8만원에서 7만6천원으로 제주-부산 노선은 6만8천원으로 내려갔습니다.

한편 제주도는 제주항공과의 항공요금 인상 가처분 소송 항소심에서 승소하자
어제(2일) 1억원의 보증보험증권을 법원에 공탁했습니다.
