Tally up 40% compared to last year

More Hong Kong tourists are coming to Jeju.

The Jeju Tourism Organization says some 41,000 Hong Kongers had visited this year through the end of September. That’s 40 percent more than during the first nine months of 2016.

The JTO says it will focus on developing tour packages for people visiting on their own or in small groups, as they are more likely than people on large group tours to return for a second trip.

제주를 찾는 홍콩 관광객이 늘고 있습니다.

제주관광공사에 따르면 올들어 지난 9월까지 제주를 찾은 홍콩 관광객은
4만 1천여명으로 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 40% 증가했습니다.

제주관광공사는 홍콩 관광객의 경우 자유여행객 재방문율이 높은 만큼
앞으로 이들을 겨냥한 다양한 상품을 개발한다는 계획입니다.
