Jeju April Third Peace Forum begins Thursday
Nobel Prize Prize laureate Jose Ramos Horta to give keynote address

The Jeju April Third Peace Forum begins Thursday at the Jeju KAL Hotel.

The Jeju April Third Peace Foundation is hosting the three-day event. The sessions are organized around the national, global, and universal aspects of what the foundation calls the Jeju April Third “model.”

Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President of East Timor Jose Ramos Horta will give the keynote address. His speech will focus on overcoming the past, healing, and reconciliation.

During the forum, the results of a national survey on awareness of the April Third Incident will be announced.

제주 4.3 평화포럼이 모레(9일)부터 사흘간 제주칼호텔에서 열립니다.

제주 4.3 평화재단이 주최하는 이번 포럼은 제주 4.3모델의 전국화와 세계화, 보편화를 주제로 다양한 세션으로 진행됩니다.

특히 노벨평화상 수상자인 '호세 라모스 오르타' 동티모르 전 대통령이 참석해
과거의 극복, 치유와 화해를 주제로 기조강연에 나섭니다.

또 이번 포럼에서는 전국민 4.3 인식조사에 대한 결과발표도 이뤄질 예정입니다.
