Jeju Naval Base to mark ROK Navy’s 72nd anniversary Saturday
Visitors will be able to tour facilities, vessels

The Jeju Naval Base is hosting a celebration this Saturday in honor of the 72nd anniversary of the creation of the Republic of Korea Navy.

It will be opening up its facilities and vessels to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other highlights include a demonstration of a marine amphibious assault vehicle, and the chance for visitors to try out for themselves some of the equipment used by the ROK Navy Special Warfare Flotilla.

The Navy Band will perform in the community welfare center’s auditorium at two in the afternoon.

Finally, some of the younger visitors may enjoy putting together puzzles in the shapes of an Aegis-equipped ships.

해군제주기지, 11일 부대개방·함정공개 행사

해군제주기지가 해군창설 72주년을 맞아 오는 11일 하루 부대개방과 함정공개 행사를 마련합니다.

이날 부대개방 행사는 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 해군과 해경 함정 개방, 해병대 상륙돌격장갑차 운용 시범, 해군특수전전단 장비 체험 등으로 진행됩니다.

또 오후 2시에는 해군 군악대의 연주회가 복지관 대강당에서 마련됩니다.

이와함께 해군 이지스함 퍼즐 만들기 체험 등 다채로운 볼거리와 즐길 거리가 열립니다
